Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
Add a gamemode/option to marathon mode where the player starts with a small amount of time that ticks down and picking up certain collectibles adds time to this countdown.
Letting the timer reach zero would result in a gover.
The ideas is that trickier collectables like shards would give more time and thus it would be a decision of "will I be able to collect this in less time than it would give me?"
